The accessibility requirements are set out in the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG), in particular in Section 14 BFSG in conjunction with Section 3 Para. § Section 3 (1) BFSG and the underlying Ordinance to the Barrier-Free Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG).
The criteria are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 with conformance levels A and AA.
Status of compatibility with the requirements
The website is only partially compatible with WCAG 2.1 (level AA) and BFSG. Existing incompatibilities are listed below.

- The HTML structure of some pages contains errors (e.g. tables, empty headings).
- The contrast ratio of a few elements (e.g. "More" button) is too low.
- The page is not fully keyboard operable as there is no visible focus display.
- Individual subpages (e.g. product pages) do not have an HTML language attribute.
- Individual form elements (e.g. the search function) do not have a "Send" button.
